This Privacy Policy explains how LavenderDate.com, owned and operated by Vast Network Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, and protects the personal information of our users. By using the site, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, you must not use LavenderDate.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information when you create an account, use the platform, or contact us. This includes:

  • Interests and demographic info (e.g. height, weight, gender identity if provided)

  • Photos, profile bio, and prompt responses

  • User interactions such as likes, messages, and matches

2. Messaging and Moderation

Messages between users are stored. They are not encrypted end-to-end and may be accessed by administrators when a report is filed. Messages are reviewed reactively in cases of reported abuse, spam, or violations of our content rules. We do not proactively monitor or scan all messages.

3. Verification Data

To verify your profile, we may request a valid government-issued ID such as a state ID, passport, or driver’s license. We may also require a short video that includes your face, the current date, your email address, and the name “LavenderDate.com” on a piece of paper. Verification data may be stored temporarily for review and confirmation purposes.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking tools to improve your experience and analyze behavior on the platform. These include:

  • Google Analytics

  • Google tracking pixels

  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel

We track actions such as page views, matches, likes, clicks, search behavior, and time spent on the site.

5. Payment Information

If and when paid plans are introduced, payments will be processed through third-party services such as Authorize.net. We do not store your credit card or billing information ourselves. All sensitive data is handled securely by the payment provider.

6. Emails and Communications

We send important transactional emails such as match alerts, account notifications, and security updates. We may also send promotional or marketing messages. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.

7. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is only shared with essential service providers (e.g., analytics, infrastructure, payment processing) who help us operate the site.

8. Data Storage and Security

All user data is stored on secure servers located in the United States using Amazon Web Services (AWS). We implement the following security measures:

  • 256-bit SSL encryption

  • Encrypted login sessions

  • Optional two-factor authentication (coming soon)

  • Access controls to limit employee access to sensitive data

9. Account Deletion and Data Retention

You may delete your account at any time by visiting your account settings and clicking the “Delete Account” button, or by contacting us

10. Children’s Privacy

LavenderDate.com is intended only for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect or store information from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover that a user is underage, we will delete the account and associated data.
